Ministry of Information Collaborates with Chinese Companies to Provide Free Medical Check-Ups in Kratie Province

Phnom Penh, July 2, 2024 – Neth Pheaktra, Minister of Information, is partnering with One Road Group and the One Road Charitable Foundation of China to carry out humanitarian activities in Kratie Province. These activities include distributing school bags and supplies to needy students, providing free medical check-ups, and distributing glasses to the local community.

Additionally, the Ministry of Information and One Road Group are organizing a friendly football match in Kratie Province to encourage youth to engage in sports and stay away from drugs, under the slogans "One Person, One Sport" and "Play Sports to Stay Away from Drugs."

This collaboration was solidified during a meeting between Neth Pheaktra and Kevin Lou, CEO and Founder of One Road Group and Chairman of One Road China Charitable Foundation, on the afternoon of July 1, 2024.

Neth Pheaktra, who also serves as Chairman of the Education Promotion Committee of the Anti-Drug Campaign Command, discussed plans to organize a youth football match in Kratie Province to promote sports and encourage a healthy lifestyle among the public.

He also informed about the project for providing free medical check-ups and treatment for the residents of Kratie Province, including eye examinations and the distribution of glasses.

During the meeting, Neth Pheaktra thanked Great Wall Motor (GWM) for selling Chinese cars and the One Road Charity Foundation for providing more than 1,000 school bags and study materials. These items were distributed to children on International Children's Day, June 1, with the remaining supplies to be given to students in need in Kratie Province. He emphasized the importance of sharing love, joy, and hope with all children to help them become good citizens.

Kevin Lou reaffirmed his commitment to continuing the collaboration with the Ministry of Information on humanitarian activities.
